Arabic Tools for AutoCAD is a plug-in that allows users to add Arabic text to their drawings. It includes a number of utilites, such as text search and editing, text exploding, curve-fitting, and text export/import. It also features VisualSHX(TM), which is a visual SHX font editor. This version is a full featured demo version which is restricted to 2 fonts. It includes an installation program and a manual. You can install the program by unzipping ARBTOOLS.ZIP to any directory, and then starting SETUP.EXE, which guides you through the installation process. |

Pretty good demo, character concatonation works very well. seems to have issues when trying to electronically transfer via network or email where characters appear to be missing-- can recover missing characters by using "Arbtools-edit AT text-REPLACE" on each text item on the drawing. This is very time consuming, and not very helpful when transfering files to non-Arabic speaking engineers, or between companies; it becomes very time consuming to verify the correct Arabic text after each electronic transfer. If the author has a remedy, I'd be happier with the product. --Derek
